300 Million dollars will be invested into Manitoba's highways over the next two years.

Premier Gary Doer announced yesterday that investment will increase the current 257 million each year to almost 400 million dollars a year.

Portage MLA David Faurschou notes the money will only cover the increased costs of road repair. He says the government has to make a long term commitment to highways in this province. Faurschou recommends, all revenue related to roadways including, licences and registrations must be committed to roads.
