The Pembina Valley (PV) West U18 Female Rockets ended their regular season play in 3rd place with a 7-4-1 record with a goals for/against average of 0.632. Kadence Carels and Jasper Devloo broke the Top 5 scoring leaders with 15 and 14 points respectively.

In the quarter-finals, the Rockets came up against the 6th placed, 2-8-2, Neepawa Titans; winning games 1 and 2, in overtime, with a score of 3-0 and 2-1, respectively. The Rockets now faced the 2nd place, 5-1-5, Southwest Stars in the semi-finals. Dropping the 1st game 3-0, the Rockets came back with a vengeance taking games 2 and 3 with a score of 4-1 each.

The finals saw the Rockets take on the 1st place team, the Birtle/Hamiota Bruskies who had not lost a game all season. Game 1 was March 13 in Birtle. The ladies battled hard the entire game, taking game 1 with the lone goal being scored by Kaitlyn Grenier, assisted by Jasper Devloo and Olivia Desrochers at 3:22 in the first. The Rockets had handed the Bruskies’ their first loss of the season!

Knowing the Bruskies’ were not going to take this loss lightly, the Rockets knew they needed to come out strong in game 2. Game 2 saw the Bruskies open up the scoring at 8:55 in the first. The Rockets managed to tie the game up before heading into the 2nd intermission with a goal by Kadence Carels, assisted by Kindal DeGraeve with 3:33 left in the second. The third period started off rough for both teams until with 7:55 left, the Rockets overtook the Bruskies with the game winning goal by Kaitlyn Grenier, assisted by Kadence Carels and Jasper Devloo. To seal the deal, the Rockets scored once again with 4:02 left. The third and final goal of the game was scored by Jasper Devloo and assisted by Olivia Desrochers and Kaitlyn Grenier. The Rockets swept the championship series, 2-0!

At the conclusion of the Rockets playoffs season, they saw 6 players breaking the top 10 scoring leaders; Kadence Carels and Olivia Desrochers both with 7 points, Jasper Devloo, Kaitlyn Grenier and Jayden Carels with 6 points each as well as Kayden Gudnason with 4 points!
