The Rotary Club of Portage la Prairie will be making some changes due to COVID19

Preston Meier is the President of the Rotary Club. He explains what's going on.

"As an executive, we did discuss on Friday whether we wanted to suspend the current lunch meetings in response to the COVID19. We did decide that we would suspend our meetings right through until the third week of April, and of course even that we play it on-ear depending on what's going on the country."

They won't have to cancel any fundraising events because they've already held two key ones in December and March.

He says they want to keep safety in mind.

"As a service group, we certainly take all of this stuff seriously the community is extremely important to us, so anything we can do on our part to help flatten the curve, I guess as they say now. That's certainly what we want to do."
