The Portage Collegiate Saints started the 2022 fastpitch season in a dominant fashion. The girls went on the road to Sanford yesterday for their season opener and took down the Sabres 13-2.

Ashley Tooth picked up the win on the mound, starting off the game picking up three straight outs, while Ella Harkness would close the game out.

PCI received key contributions from the bats of Tooth, Abby Reichert, Alexis Waldner, and Tilly Botterill.

Head coach Shauna Cochrane-Thomson says the girls were really eager to go into the contest as this was their first time on the diamond this season.

The Saints will hit the road again on Monday before hosting a double-header for their home opener on Wednesday, May 18.
