UPDATE:  July 3, 2023

Manitoba RCMP Major Crime Services have issued a warrant of arrest for Fantasia Prince, a 26-year-old woman from Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation, in relation to the homicide of a 24-year-old woman that took place on Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation on June 29.

Fantasia Prince is charged with 2nd Degree Murder and has other outstanding warrants for her arrest.

Police are asking anyone with information about Fantasia’s whereabouts to call the Manitoba First Nation Police Service at  204-843-7700 or the Amaranth RCMP at 204-843-2691. Fantasia Prince may be armed and should not be approached.


Initial story:

An injured woman was reported to Manitoba First Nation Police Service at a Sandy Bay Ojibway First Nation residence. The report was made yesterday (June 29), at about 3:15 p.m..

MFNPS responded and found a 24-year-old woman deceased in the home.

Her death is being investigated as a homicide.

RCMP Major Crime Services, along with Forensic Identification Services, continue to investigate.
