Manitoba First Nation Police responded to a stabbing earlier this month that required the assistance of STARS Air Ambulance.

Police responded to the incident a little after 7 a.m. on August 7. Police say after arriving at the home, officers found a woman suffering from multiple stab wounds to her upper body.

MFNPS called in STARS Air Ambulance alongside EMS to attend to the scene, and the victim was last reported to be in stable condition. Loreen Peters, 50, from Long Plain First Nation, was arrested on scene and is charged with aggravated assault.
