At the Western Canadian Masters Fastpitch Championships at Republic Park yesterday, Portage Phillies improved to 4-and-1. They play again at 10 this morning, versus Moose Jaw.
Portage Diamonds take their 0-and-4 record against Moose Jaw as well. That game's at 11 o'clock.

The CFL's all-time touchdown record belongs to Milt Stegall. He caught a pair last night, as Winnipeg Blue Bombers downed Hamilton 36-18. That gives him 139 and counting.

In the Northern Baseball League, Winnipeg Goldeyes were 10-5 winners over Edmonton. The Fish pounded out five home runs, and improve to 7-and-8 for the second half.
