The Portage Terriers have opened up a slot for another 20-year-old player after today's trade.

The Dogs acquired the MJHL list rights to 18-year-old forward Karson King from the OCN Blizzard today in exchange for 20-year-old forward Sequoia Swan.

King is now the fourth forward the Terriers have on the roster with WHL experience as he spent all of last season with the Swift Current Broncos and put up 20 points in 50 games. The Warren product played the first three games of this season with the Broncos before moving to the Stonewall Jets of the MMJHL. King totalled five points in three games with Stonewall.

The 18-year-old was drafted seventh overall by the OCN Blizzard in the 2019 MJHL Draft.

Swan will be going back to a familiar place as he spent the first two seasons of his junior hockey career in OCN. He is joining a Blizzard team that sits at the top of the West Division. Swan put up a total of nine points and 67 penalty minutes in 12 games with the Terriers.

Portage is back in action tonight as they welcome the Winnipeg Blues to Stride Place.
