The Portage Terriers are set to return to home ice today as they welcome the Winnipeg Blues to Stride Place.

Portage enters this contest on a four-game win streak and is surging at the right time. The Dogs’ are now just one point back of the Selkirk Steelers for the division’s final playoff spot and have two extra games to play.

The Terriers have dropped three of their four meetings with the Blues so far this season, however, the last time these two teams faced off was all the way back in October.

The top line of Daniel Siso, Austin McLean, and Matt Wisener for the Terriers has been elite during their win streak. The three forwards have a combined 13 goals and 22 assists for 35 points in just four games, with Siso and McLean both completing hat-tricks in that span.

While the offence has been rolling for Portage, they will be facing off with some of the most productive offensive players in the MJHL tonight. The Blues are home to three of the top five players in the league when it comes to points scored as Eric Fawkes has 57, Brayden Foreman has 58, and Josiah Vanderhooft leads the league with 65.

If Portage picks up this win and the Steinbach Pistons beat the Selkirk Steelers tonight, the Terriers will move into the fourth spot in the East Division’s standings.

Puck drop for today’s contest is set for 4:30 at Stride Place.
