Several thousand dollars worth of tools were stolen from a building on Hwy 16, north of the Trans-Canada. It took place on Thursday, February 9th. The vehicle used in the theft was a pick-up with dual wheels. 

Two days later, on Highway 16, a break and enter was reported to be in progress several miles north of the junction of Highway #1 at 12:30 a.m. Suspects drove a stolen black Dodge Dually 3500 and were stealing fuel. The same vehicle was reported stolen on the 7th from a location on Highway #6 in the RM of Rosser. When police arrived, suspects had already fled.

Later that day, this vehicle was located in the 600 block of 9th Street NW in Portage la Prairie. Officers towed the vehicle to their secure compound to be examined by the Forensics Team.
