Another week is in the books at the Assiniboia Downs with the next one on the horizon. Here's the latest from the local horses.

Gladstone horse owner Doug Mustard had two horse races this week with Vidira finishing in seventh and Witt's Gatto granting him a second-place finish.

Westbourne owners Frank Johnson and his wife Betty Hughes had a busy week with five of their horses stepping onto the track.

Call the Cops competed in their seventh race of the year ending in third place this time around. Backseat Justice and Prairie Magic both had fifth-place finishes. Spats was one spot shy of a podium placement coming in fourth. Their best performance of the week came from Prairie Drifter who has now finished in second place in all three of its races this year.

Three more days of racing will begin at the Assiniboia Downs tomorrow.
