Portage School Division's superintendent hopes the latest acts of vandalism is only a small bump in the road.

Earlier this month North Memorial School and Crescentview School received estimates to replace broken windows, with a combined total of over 15 hundred dollars.

Larry Taylor calls it unexpected, as the division has experienced very few acts of vandalism lately.  That's in contrast to previous years which have netted over 17 thousand dollars in vandalism repairs.

Taylor notes the RCMP have been helpful in assisting the school division prevent and investigate the crimes.

He says the vandalism is unfortunate as it'll come out of the taxpayers' pocket and will eventually take away from classroom funding.

Taylor encourages you to immediately report any suspicious activity on school grounds.
