Inwood is 100 years old this year, and the centennial party is this weekend. The town's population has more than doubled. It's been 100 years since the foundation of Inwood, in the Interlake, and they're celebrating this weekend.

More than 400 people are expected for the event, which started last night.

Organizer Genevieve Montcombroux says Inwood's population will more than double. She describes the community as dynamic, adding everyone who's coming will be accommodated.

Montcombroux adds there's been a lot of excitement and anticipation leading up to the centennial.

Even though the town has experienced setbacks over the century, she notes they've found a way to carry on, and there's a lot of pride about that.
