Senior men's hockey makes its return to MacGregor, Manitoba tonight.

The MacGregor Wild open their Tiger Hills Hockey League Season in front of home fans against the Boissevain Border Kings. Defenseman Tanner Nicholl says they've been on the ice a few time to get ready, and the city's buzzing with anticipation for puck drop.

"We've had like 4 try-out skates, and 2 exhibition games. It was a pretty different lineup for both games and it's been a long time for us, and it seems to be the fans too. We've had a pretty good turn out for the exhibition games so I can't wait to see what the turn-out is going to be like for our home opener."

Nicholl gives his thoughts on how the team's looking heading in.

"I think we look pretty solid as a whole. It looks like we're going to be pretty quick and speedy, so that'll be exciting to watch and hopefully, we can score some goals."

The Wild and Boissevain go at 8 p.m. in MacGregor.
