The Portage Blaze had a tough time fielding a team last night in the Winnipeg Women's Soccer League.

The Blaze had a tough night all around as they were forced to start the game with only 9 players after a couple of late cancellations. That spilled into the second half as well, as the lost 1 more and played 8 for the last 45. They fell behind early and were down 4-1 at half time, the lone goal coming from Cali Ramsey. They gave up three more in the 2nd half to fall 7-1.

The Blaze are currently last in Division 2, but with 1 win the could jump up the ranks as the bottom six clubs all have 1 win, and less than 6 points. Up next the Blaze take on Ice at home on June 26.
