The Bowles twins are bringing their talents to Winnipeg this fall.

Both Shawn and Brad Bowles have both been recruited to play for the U of M Bisons this fall. Brad Bowles says he's been in touch with the Bisons staff for some time now.

"We've actually talked for probably since my second year in Portage. We've been talking for quite a while and then it kind of worked out this way."

The Bisons were 14-17 last season, and Brad feels he should fit right into the line-up.

"I kind of know some of the players over there already, so it's going to be an easier adjustment. They have a good coaching staff, so it sounds like it should be a good year."

Shawn Bowles is excited to be heading to Winnipeg as well.

"Yeah it is, it's pretty exciting. Obviously, it was a big decision in our hockey career and I'm just excited to be going to Winnipeg now."

The Bowles twins will be reuniting with their RBC Cup-winning teammates Jordyn Boyd and Zach Waldvogel when they join the team this fall. Shawn's looking forward to catching up with the former Terriers.

"I am for sure. Obviously when you win something that big with those guys you have a certain connection there. I'm just happy to be back with them."

Shawn adds it's about getting stronger and playing the same type of game he did in Junior. Both are excited to have their brother along for the ride, and they head out for training camp at the end of August.

Bowles outlines what he'll be bringing to the team.

"I'm just going to try to bring a good work ethic and do what I have to do to stay in the line-up and stuff like that. Try to get some offense, a little bit of defense, just try and play the same way I did in Junior."
