The Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League's announced their 2016-17 All-Star teams.

Central Plains Capital's forward Joey Moffat was named to the First Team All-Stars. "It feels good," says Moffat. "I've been putting up points and have been playing good with my linemates, couldn't do it without them. It's an honour."

Moffat has 52 points this season, 24 goals and 28 assists, and leads both his team and the league. He says the team has been playing great this season which has led to his success.

"Our powerplay hasn't been doing too great but I've got quite a few goals on it. We've been scoring, quite a bit early on and we've slowed down a bit in the second half but I think we'll be able to get back into it."

The Caps host Eastman Saturday, and Kenora Sunday.
