Both Central Plains Capitals teams are in action today.

In the Manitoba AAA Midget Hockey League, the Central Plains Capitals are in Brandon today to face the Wheat Kings. The Caps are coming off a 4-0 shutout loss to Yellowhead, and forward Joey Moffat outlines what went wrong.

"We ran into a hot goalie and had a couple of breakdowns in our defensive zone. We also didn't bury any of our chances."

The Wheat Kings are only one point ahead of the Caps in the standings in third place. Moffat says they've got a chance to jump up in the standings, and expects a tough match from their opponents.

"They're a hard-working team that's really skilled," says Moffat. "They've got a good powerplay, so we need to stay out of the box, and hopefully we can get two points out of there."

The Caps and Wheat Kings go at 7:30 p.m.
