The Portage Cobras' first home game of the Manitoba Major Soccer League Regular Season is tonight.

The Cobras host North Winnipeg United in Division 6 action at Rotary Republic Park. Portage is 0-2 to start the season after falling 2-1 and 4-2 to open the year. Cobras' Midfielder Chad Green says the few mistakes they made ended up costing them.

"Both games it was basically just a couple of errors on our part, and they capitalized. So it's not like they outplayed us, they just capitalized on some of our mistakes."

Green's looking forward to the future of the team, especially with their young roster.

"The biggest thing I like is every body is still upbeat. The veteran guys that I've brought in are great, they see the potential in the youth and they're working with them. They're still upbeat, they're not getting down."

The Cobras and United go at 7:30 p.m. at Rotary Republic Park.
