The Portage Terriers are in one of four Manitoba Junior Hockey League hockey games tonight. They're in Winnipeg to face the Blues at the MTS Iceplex.

The Terriers fell 1-0 to Steinbach earlier in the week, while the Blues beat the Pistons Saturday night. Portage handed Winnipeg their most recent loss a couple of weeks ago in the form of a shootout. Head Coach Blake Spiller says their work ethic was poor against Steinbach and they'll have to win races -- and battles -- if the want to beat Winnipeg.

"They're a hard working team that's physical. Hopefully, if we come and compete, we can play with any team in the league. There are a lot of teams that are pretty equal in the league, so you just have to bring your work ethic to give yourself a chance at least."

Forward Scott Mickoski says they weren't aggressive enough against Steinbach, and they need to be more physical tonight.

"We kind of got away from that, especially with a Steinbach or Winnipeg type of team, they're not usually the biggest guys. You have to hit them, that's how they're going to shy away and hopefully cough up the puck, and with that we'll get back in the win column."

The Terriers and Blues go at 7 p.m. and you can hear that game on CFRY and PortageOnline.com with the pregame show at 6:50.
