The Portage Fusion finally walked off the soccer field with the satisfying feeling of victory.

Jonathan Reimer, Chris Okello, David Sattler and Mohammed Bakr each scored goals as the Fusion downed Tri-S Strike Force 4-1 in Manitoba Major Soccer League Division 5 action Monday night at Republic Park. It was Portage's first win this season, after an 0-6-2 start.

"We had the majority of possession and chances, and held Tri-S to just four chances at goal," says Fusion defender Glen McCulloch via text message. "It felt so good to win that we didn't even care about what we could improve on. Now maybe we can get on a roll."

The Fusion (1-6-2) play their next game Thursday on the road against Elmwood FC (5-2-1).
