After a week long wait, the Portage Terriers are back on the ice tonight.

The Dogs welcome the Winnipeg Blues to the PCU Centre for game one of the best-of-seven Addison Division final series. The series has all the makings of a classic with both teams looking very evenly matched going in. Both teams won four times during their eight regular season meetings. Both teams had seven 20-goal scorers and four 60-point men. The leading scorer on both teams finished the year with 71 points and both teams are coming off a first round sweep.

One area of the Terriers' game a lot of fans are wondering about going into the series is goaltending. Starter Shea Cooper missed the first round after suffering an injury prior to game one. Backup Adam Iwan stepped up and helped the team to a first round sweep of Selkirk, finishing the series with a 2.23 goals against average and a .918 save percentage. The 18-year-old Winnipegger talks about what was going through his mind when he found out he'd be starting the playoffs.

"Not much really, I was just confident with my play as of late," says Iwan. "Last couple of games I had in the season I felt I played really strong and I knew I just had to keep consistent."

There has been no word yet on a possible return date for Cooper, but if Iwan can continue his strong play, the Terriers goaltending still looks solid. Head Coach and General Manager Blake Spiller has been impressed with how Iwan's performed under pressure situations.

"Put a lot on his shoulders and he responded real well," says the veteran bench boss. "That's what you need to have success, guys that can step up when they're called on and he was definitely huge."

Winnipeg's goaltending has been good but not great this season. The combination of Isiah Plett and Byron Spriggs have handled the majority of duties for the Blues with Plett starting all four games of their first round sweep of the Flyers. In those games, the 18-year-old from Steinbach sported a goals against average of 3.50 and a save percentage of .883.

Game one goes tonight at 7:30 pm at the PCU Centre with game two scheduled for Sunday night in Headingley.
