Hockey Manitoba's Female Bantam Prospects Tournament wrapped up today at the PCU Centre.

Central Plains' Female Bantam Head Coach John Ferg was helping coordinate the 3 day showcase. He says there were 8 girls out from the Central Plains region, and gives an overview of their weekend.

"They represented us very well this weekend. They had some good tournaments, and they played really well."

Ferg says there's a lot of talent coming up in girls hockey from all across the province.

Central Plains Capitals' President John Ferg

"Absolutely. This is the first time they get together as a regional program. We had 10 teams with 15 to 17 players throughout the province. They really enjoyed it, it's at a great complex (PCU Centre) and all positives from the parents and the players as well."

Ferg's looking forward to next season with the Female Bantam Central Plains Capitals.
