PCI's varsity clubs were on the court for West Winnipeg Athletic Conference Tier 2 action in Winnipeg.

The varsity Trojans were winners in Winnipeg. They took out Westwood 77-51. Trojans head coach Janey Bradford says they were able to continue their success fron this past weekend`s tournament.

"We took our time on offence and worked on playing zone defence. It was an all around team effort that saw various people score," says Bradford.

The PCI Saints looked a little rusty in their 40-32 loss to Kelvin. "The time off really showed," says head coach Bill Marsh. "We had a difficult time with their pressure and when we got shots up they weren't always the best. We thought we had a good shot to turn the game in our favour going into the fourth but we couldn't get it done."

The varsity clubs are back on the court Wednesday when they visit St. John's.

The junior varsity clubs are in WWAC Tier 2 action Tuesday. The Saints welcome the Stonewall Rams to Portage. That game tips off at 5 p.m. The junior varsity Trojans are in Winnipeg to face Grant Park at 5 as well.

The MacGregor Mustangs' junior varsity basketball teams ended up on opposite sides of the Zone 7 scoresheet last night.

The jv girls won 51-21 over the Neepawa Tigers in the first match of the night. "It really was a great team effort," says head coach Jen Schroeder. "We were making a high percentage of our shots last night and it really made the difference."
