High School volleyball playoffs get underway tonight around the region.

Portage Collegiate has two teams on the court. The junior varsity Saints finished 1st in the West Winnipeg Athletic Conference at 8-and-1, earning a chance to host their quarterfinal match. They're going up against John Taylor at 5 in PCI's East Gym. The Trojans finished 7th in the WWAC with a 3-and-5 record. They're in Winnipeg to face St. Paul's at 5 p.m.

There are two Westpark teams in Zone 4 playoff action. The varsity boys finished tied for second at 4-4 with Elm Creek and St. Paul's Barons, and host Elm Creek tonight in the semi final at 5:30 p.m. Westpark's varsity girls finished 4th at 4-3. They're in Rosenort to face the undefeated Redhawks at 7.

Zone 7 playoffs see MacGregor's varsity clubs in action. The varsity girls ended up in 3rd place with a 4-3 record. They host Carberry at 5 p.m. The varsity boys finished the regular season in 3d place with a 1-3 record, and host Minnedosa at 6:30. William Morton's varsity boys finished 2nd in Zone 7 with a 3-1 record. They're in Elton at 6:30.
