It all comes down to tonight.

The Portage Islanders clawed their way back from a 3-1 series deficit to force Game 7 in the South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League Semi-final. They won Games 5 and 6 over Carman to send the series back to Portage la Prairie.

The Beavers won Game 1 in overtime to nullify the Islanders' home advantage through the series until they tied it up Thursday night. They won 7-3 in Carman, for the first time this season.

"I don't think we did too much different that game," says Islanders' leading playoff scorer Eric Delong. "I felt like we could've scored a few more goals earlier on in the series and we didn't get the bounces, Thursday we did I guess. I know they were missing a couple of their top players which maybe opened up the ice a little bit more in Game 6."

DeLong has 14 points in nine games played, he's tied with Tanner Waldvogel who also has seven goals and seven assists.

"We need to do the same thing we did tonight as we did in Game 6," says DeLong. "A quick start, then play quick, loose, and use the momentum to get the win."

The Islanders and Beavers go at 4:30 p.m. today at Stride Place. The winner moves on to face the Notre Dame Hawks in the final.
