Tonight sees the Portage Islanders and Notre Dame Hawks hit the ice in Portage la Prairie for Game 4 of the South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League's championship final.

The Hawks rebounded with a win in Game 3 to cut the Isles' series lead to 2-1.

"Yeah we were a little bit flat in that one," says Islanders' captain Anders Strome. "They always come out really hard, especially in their own rink, and they were the top team in the league for a reason. They came out hard and we weren't able to match it, but we're ready to get back it in Game 4."

Game 3 really broke open in the second period with three powerplay goals. The Islanders' penalty kill wasn't in its top form.

"I think it just starts with work ethic," says Islanders' leading scorer Tanner Waldvogel. "We didn't get off to a great start and it just kept going that way from there. We had some chances and if we got some bounces it may have been a different game. We're just going to have to keep working hard, and be ready to go."

Waldvogel has10 goals and 10 assists this postseason. He's confident the goals will come if they keep shooting on the Hawks' net, and they need to keep up their strong play in their own end to keep them off the board.

"We're coming back and backchecking hard which gives our defence some help," echoes Strome. "Obviously, we're getting great goaltending from Mitch Wiebe, which is a huge key. In the defensive zone, the Hawks work the puck really well down low so we have to keep pressuring them, then have a quick transition to our attack. It's going to be a fast-paced game right off the hop."

Game 4 game starts at 8 p.m. at Stride Place.
