It's do-or-die for the Portage Islanders tonight, as they face the Carman Beavers in Game 6 of their best-of-7 South Eastern Manitoba Hockey League semi-final.

Portage jumped out to a quick 2-0 series lead, after stealing the first two in Carman. The Beavers bounced back winning the next 3 games, and are one win away from the SEMHL Final.

Islanders' GM Jeremy Brooks says they need to make the most of their opportunities.

"We're just going to have to stick to our game-plan. We're going to have to capitalize on our opportunities, they will score when they get the opportunities, so when we get our opportunities we're going to have to be just like them and score as well. We're going to hopefully have a few powerplay opportunities, and find the back of the net."

Special teams played a big factor in game 5, as both of Carman's goals came on the powerplay. Brooks knows they have to be better.

"Our killing is going to have to be a lot better. We're going to have to be aware of who's out there, and where they are on the ice, and not let them get any easy goals."

The Islanders and Beavers go at 7:30 at the PCU Centre.
