MacGregor Collegiate Institute's JV Girls Volleyball team captured the Consolation Trophy this weekend at the 2016 Crocus Plains JV Girls Volleyball Tournament.

"The tournament was great experience for our young ladies playing AAA & AAAA teams when they're only AA," says Head Coach Kyle McKinstry. Mustangs notched wins against the PCI Saints, Neepawa Tigers, Neelin Spartans & Virden Golden Bears. The girls only losses were against River East Kodiaks, Lord Selkirk Royals, and Vincent Massey Vikings.

Vincent Massey and Lord Selkirk met in the Championship Finals with Massey coming out on top in straight sets against the Royals. The Mustangs topped Virden Collegiate in the Consolation Finals in a third set 15-8 to bring home the Consolation Trophy.
