Portage la Prairie's Shane Moffat's been inducted into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame!

Moffatt was recognized as a member of our province's 20th Century All-Star Team during the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame's 20th annual Induction Dinner Saturday night in Morden. Moffatt spent over 20 years in the Red Boine Senior and the Manitoba Senior Baseball League, and says it's a real honour to be inducted.

"Once I found out, it felt pretty amazing. You think of all the ball players in Manitoba over all the years, and there's been some great ones, and to even be mentioned with all those fellah's is a great honour."

Moffat's pretty humble about being part of the Century Dream Team.

"You got to think over the century how many guys played baseball, and Manitoba's a big place, and there were a lot of ball teams around. There was 28 ball teams in Manitoba Senior, there's the Red Boine, and it's an honour to be picked. I'll enjoy this."

Moffatt's former Carman Goldeyes teammate Gerry Falk was also named to the 20th Century All-Team.
