Portage Collegiate Institute returned from the high school provincial track and field championships with a few medals.

Grade 12 runner Hailee Morisseau took the top spot in the varsity girls' 3000m with a time of 11:12.12. The next closest to Morisseau was Beatrice Soulard of College Louis Riel at 11:55.96.

Grade 9 athlete Erin Owens took third place in the 1500m and the 3000m. She finished with a time of 10:54:93 in the 3000m, six seconds back of first place. Fellow grade 9 Devon Borody took third in the junior varsity girls long jump.

Grade 10 high jump athlete Lydia Suderman finished in third place in the JV girls high jump as well.
