It's time again for minor softball registration in Portage la Prairie. Association President Shauna Cochrane-Thompson says sign up is set for tonight for between 7pm and 9 pm at the P.C.U. Centre for ages 5 and up. Cochrane-Thompson says they have seen the number of participants in the sport provincially decline over the past few years, but they are doing what they can to get youngsters interested. every youth that signs up this evening  will receive a free softball. As for the sport itself, Cochrane-Thompson says its fundamentals such as hand/eye coordination can go beyond the diamond and help kids in a wide array of other activities.
