The MacGregor Mustangs' are the Provincial Rural Boy's Soccer Consolation Champions.

The Mustangs only suffered 1 loss through the provincial tournament, and it came at the hands of the eventual Provincial Champions. Mustangs' Head Coach Corey May says it really came down to a tough loss to Steinbach.

"The game against Steinbach was ridiculously good. It was a fantastic game, both teams played really hard. It's just unfortunate we lost a close one and hit the cross-bar twice."

Mustangs' goalie Clayton Murray took home top goalie of the provincial tournament. May says it really was a fine finish to an incredible season.

"In the end for our entire season, we finished 11-and-1. It's unfortunate that one loss knocked us out of the medal round at provincials, but sometimes that how it goes. The club's really proud of what they accomplished, and it turned out to be pretty good in the end."

The Mustangs finished the year 11-1.
