The Portage Padres are in action tonight in Austin. They take on the A's in the only Santa Clara Baseball League match of the night.

The Padres undefeated streak continued with a victory over the Mavericks last Wednesday. The A's are coming off a 5-1 loss to the Cubs Wednesday as well and the Padres aren't looking to take a night off against the feisty A's.

"We're fully aware that they're a team we can't take lightly," says Padres' Tyler Butler. "We're going to have to bring everything we've got against them. They're a young team and they've proven over the last couple of years, and they improve every year and this year is no different. We have to keep our foot down here with the position that we're in."

The Padres held their first ever slow pitch tournament over the weekend. Tonight's game gets going at 7 p.m. in Austin.
