The Portage Padres fell 7-5 to Minnedosa last night in Santa Clara Baseball at Rotary Republic Park.

The Padres jumped out to a quick lead thanks to a couple of two run homers from Daylan Laramee. Padres' pitcher Jason Kirkland looked great on the mound, but struggled in the 5th to give up 6 runs. Padres' pitcher Rod McLeod says they need to be more consistent all around.

"The biggest thing is that everyone's got to contribute in some way. We can't just rely on a couple of guys in the top of the order, or the bottom of the order, wherever."

The Padres were scheduled to play Austin tonight, but that game has been moved to tomorrow. McLeod feels they'll be able to get back in the win column.

"I think we can bounce back and hopefully pick up a W there. Remain patient at the plate, have some good at bats, play some good defense and hopefully we can get right back on track."

Tomorrow's game is set for 7 p.m. in Austin.
