The Portage Padres' final game of the Santa Clara Baseball League regular season is tonight.

Portage is on the road to face the Pirates in Plumas, after barely holding out for a tie against them Saturday night. The Padres held a 6-0 lead heading into the final inning, when Plumas hammered home 7 runs to take the lead. Portage added one run in the bottom of the 7th to salvage the tie. Padres' Player Coach Tyler Butler says it'll be tough to take that top spot after their last draw.

"I think we've pretty much locked down second. So I mean, when you go through a season and you only lose one game, and finishing second and getting home field advantage for playoffs is definitely our next goal for sure."

The Padres are a game back of Minnedosa for 1st place, and with the Mavericks playing tonight and tomorrow, Butler knows they'll need some help.

"Pretty much we're going to need a lot of help the last two games. We've got to win Wednesday, then get help from two other teams, but who knows. I guess anything can happen, but it's not looking goof as of right now."

Other games tonight include Minnedosa at Carberry and Dauphin at Neepawa.
