Baseball and fast pitch season is quickly approaching for the P.C.I. Trojans. Tryouts for the boys and girls squads was Wednesday afternnoon. Boys Head Coach Jay Dewis says 16 players are trying to make the club with many new faces hoping to make the roster. He says many players graduated last year so they will be a fairly young team. He says he hopes the club will improve and develop through the season and be in the mix heading into the playoffs.

It's a different story for the girls fast-pitch, as bench boss Cam Asham says there plenty of veterans that will likely lead the way. 11 players are trying out for this years team, including 5 Grade 12 students. Asham says those players will need to take a leadership role. The final roster will be official for the boys team the week after spring break. The girls fast pitch team will be finalized this week. The season for both clubs will begin in late April.
