The Scotties Tournament of Hearts Provincial Women's Curling Championship presented by Monsanto starts today at Eric Coy Arena in Winnipeg.

Team Tiffany McLean of the Portage Curling Club's representing the Central Region. McLean is joined by Third Mallory Black, Second Danielle Robinson, Lead Cassandra Lesiuk, and Fifth Blaire Remple.

"Our regional qualifier for the Central zone was back in December, the weekend before Christmas actually. We were in Arden for that with four teams in total," says McLean. "We're really looking forward to the competition. It's really exciting because there will be a lot of good teams that will be there. We're looking forward to playing and doing our best. That's all we can really ask for."

McLean adds they're not focusing on their competition, but rather what they need to do to be successful. "We've actually had a couple of opportunities to play on arena ice (this year), so we're not completely foreign to it and hopefully, it will help us out a bit. Some of the teams have quite a bit of experience on arena ice, so we just need to make sure we hit the broom and have a good rotation, and we shouldn't have too much trouble there."

The first draw is at 8:30 this morning. Team McLean's first draw is against Overton-Clapham at 12:15. The final round is Sunday, get the full draw and results here.
