The winners of the Portage Golf Club's Club Championship were crowned yesterday in Portage la Prairie.

Clark Bolton took the Junior Championship with an overall 164. Lindsey Jordan is the Women's Champion, she shot an 82 on day one and an 84 on day two. The Senior Men's Champion was Gordon Smith with 157.

Men's winner Don Jackson shot a 69 on Saturday, and finished with a 72 on the final day of competition. Jackson felt some pressure on the final hole with Farrol Asham breathing down his neck 1 stroke back, but a missed put granted Jackson the title. He says there were some good players out this weekend.

"The competition was excellent. It was really close, and everything was in such good shape. The course was in good shape so the play was good, winning scores were around even par."
