Portage la Prairie bodybuilder Titto Omana is the 2017 Middle-Heavyweight Champion after placing first place at the Manitoba Amateur Bodybuilding Provincial Qualifier in Winnipeg.

"It really takes a lot of work," says Omana. "I've been doing this for a whole year now, it actually took me like a whole year of hard work just to get up for the MABBA Provincial Qualifier. I do this to bring back the confidence to my life with a tight routine and discipline. I really enjoy the sport too."

Omana moved to Portage la Prairie in 2012 and has been enjoying himself the whole time. He isn't planning to hit the provincial championships this summer.

"I actually plan to do the provincials next year, I had a back injury and I really want to bring a good package next year and for that, I'll need a bit more time. Eight weeks won't be enough for me to get where I want to go so I'll try again next year."

He says achieving this form of a body doesn't happen quickly, and if you're interested, it takes a lot of hard work and discipline.
