The Portage Youth Soccer Association is getting set for the 2016 season.

PYSA President Chad Green says they didn't have any challenges putting together their travel teams, or rec teams.

"We were able to make it work, where everybody that wanted to be a part of the program was able to. So we had to juggle some age groups around -- but it all worked out -- so every body is able to play, so that's a good thing. Our biggest groups are our 11 and 12-year-olds, but it's been that way for a few years. We have a good core at 8 and 9-year-olds as well."

Green says they'll be getting going at the start of May, as that's when the fields have been cleared for use. He says their only struggle is finding more coaches.

"Everything is going good. They started putting together all the teams, schedules are going to start getting made up here shortly. We're trying to get everything finalized, and we're still in need of a lot of coaches. So that's kind of what we're working on right now, hopefully we'll be able to find enough so our teams aren't too big."
