The Portage Terriers have a chance to sweep their best-of-7 MJHL Playoff series with Selkirk, after tonight's 6-2 victory at the PCU Centre. They now hold a 3-0 series lead, as it heads back to Selkirk Friday night.

A dozen Terriers registered points in this one, and head coach Blake Spiller comments on the importance of balanced scoring.

"Everybody knows you have to have good depth to go any distance in any playoff. So it was good to get contributions from everybody."

Terriers' Brad Bowles scored two goals, while Shawn Bowles, Chase Brakel, Brandon Stanley, and Braydon MacDonald each had a goal. The Terriers scored four goals in seven minutes in the first period. Spiller was impressed with the pace to open the game, but says things really slowed down after that.

"Obviously we were really good here early, pucks seemed to go in for us. As the game went on I didn't think either team competed real well. It didn't make it for a whole bunch of entertainment after the first period. I thought it was scrambly and it didn't seem like a playoff game, that's for sure."

The Dogs are back at it Friday night when they head to Selkirk for Game 4.
