The PCI Saints remain undefeated in Zone 4 Fastpitch thanks to their 3-1 win over the WC Miller Aces at Rotary Republic Park.

The Saints were down 1-0 after the second inning, but came back in the third thanks to Paige Shwaluk's RBI Triple off a bunt. Shwaluk would also score in the inning to take the lead. PCI would add one more in the bottom of the fifth to seal the win. Saints' pitcher Cassidy Cunningham pitched a full 7 innings, earning 18 first pitch strikes, and only giving up one run. She credits the win to her teammates.

"I thought I pitched good, but the defense was really good and it helped me out a lot. I tried to get up in the count the best I could, but of course I had the great defense behind me helping me out."

Saints' 3rd base Natanish Wall gives her thoughts on the win.

"Defensively we had a really good game -- and we're always blocking the ball and keeping in the field -- and getting it to first base right away."

Wall doesn't feel their struggle at the plate is something to dwell on.

"We could improve a little, but when the team is all up and energized I'm sure we can hit the ball."

The Saints are back at it Wednesday when they host Garden Valley at Rotary Republic Park.
