Team Canada improved their record to 3-0 yesterday at the World Senior Men's Curling Championships in Sweden, with a 10-1 blowout win over Ireland. With the win, Canada's now the only undefeated team in Group B, and sit atop the standings. Team Canada's Dean Moxham comments on the tournament opener in Sweden.

"It was a bit of a whirlwind getting here, just because of travel and stuff, and it took us a couple of days to get caught up on our sleep. We made a bit of an adjustment to the time and had a good start. Sweden gave us a good test in our first game so that was helpful. It was good to get our feet wet and have a good strong game."

Moxham comments on the ice conditions.

"They had just flooded the ice the day before our game against Sweden so it was almost like brand new ice. For our second game against against Slovakia it was much better ice and I think we played a little bit better."

Team Israel is tied for 3rd place in Group B which may seem odd, but Moxham explains.

"Team Israel is actually made up of a gentleman who lives in Winnipeg but is representing Israel along with a couple of people from the United States. They aren't actually people living in Israel, they're just representing that country."

Canada plays the Netherlands today as they look to keep their perfect record intact.
