The Portage Terriers host the top team in the Manitoba Junior Hockey League, the Steinbach Pistons, at the PCU Centre tonight.

It's the second meeting between the two clubs this season, with Steinbach winning the first 5-4 back in September. The Terriers are currently on a four-game winning streak, and are three points back of the second-place OCN Blizzard. The Terriers trail the Pistons by six points. The club has been dealing with injury problems recently, but Terriers assistant Coach Paul Harland says they have a few defenders returning tonight.

"We're looking forward to having (Jordan) Thomson and (Riley) Thiessen back, and Nick Doyle will be back from suspension too. So we're going to have a full compliment of defensemen," Harland says. "Something we haven't had for almost a month now. Now we've got a couple veterans back and that will be a big boost for us."

Steinbach's coming off a loss to Winnipeg over the weekend, and are 3-2 in their last five games. Harland says they know what to expect from the Pistons.

"They're a quick team and we need to be sure we're off to a quick start," he says. "Our forecheck need to be really good so we can play most of the game in their end, and force turnovers to create chances on net."

The game goes at 7:30 at the PCU Centre.

Another Dog Shipped Out
