The Portage Terriers are in Winnipeg to face the Blues in MJHL hockey this evening.

It's the first-of-six times the teams will meet this season, and the first since Terriers' former captain Adam Wowryk was traded to the Blues. Winnipeg's 7th in the standings and is trying to close the gap on the Terriers with a win tonight. Portage is coming off a 3-2 overtime win against the Dauphin Kings on Friday night where former Winnipeg Blue James McIsaac had 2 goals and an assist. It will also be the first trip back to Winnipeg for Terrier forwards Takato Cox and Aiden Buhler.

Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller says "We'll have some guys in our group that are looking forward to playing against their old teammates, and there will be some guys on the Blues team that will be looking forward to playing against us."

He adds "We seem to be real good early and late. We just struggle with the game in the middle. If we get off to a good start and get a couple of goals that can help you with the lapses throughout the game."

The Terriers and Blues go at 6:30 at the MTS Iceplex
