The Portage Terriers look to rebound this afternoon in game two of the best of seven MJHL semi-finals against the Steinbach Pistons. Penalty trouble got the best of the Terriers on Friday night in Steinbach with the Pistons scoring three power play goals en route to a 5-4 win. Steinbach came out strong to start the second period and scored three goals in a 6-minute span.

The Terriers had a strong performance from Ty Barnstable who had a pair of goals. Bradley Schoonbaert was a key performer for Steinbach, notching a goal and 2 assists. Full details on the game can be found here.

Terrier head coach and GM Blake Spiller felt it was close at times in game one. "I thought we battled hard...I thought it was two pretty equal teams."

It's an earlier start than normal for the Terriers with puck drop at 4:30 pm. Spiller says that is fine with them. "We practice at 3:30 every day. That's a good time for us to be playing on Sunday".

Make sure to go early to the game as Stride Place will be busy with Rogers Hometown Hockey. If you can't make it to the rink, you can listen to the game on CFRY and on Portageonline.com, starting with the pregame show at 4:20 pm.
