The Portage Terriers play their lone game of the weekend tonight at 7:30 when they host the Winkler Flyers at the PCU Centre. The Flyers won the first meeting of the season in Winkler on October 18th 9-3. The Terrier power play was 0-6 that night while the Flyers were 2-5. Portage has struggled with the man advantage the past 3 games going 0-17.

"I think everyone is going to be pumped for it. We definitely want to bounce back from that" says Terrier forward Chase Brakel. "We know we can do a lot better. It will be nice to take them at home."

Goaltender Brock Aiken let in 3 goals on 11 shots in his last meeting with Winkler and was pulled in the second period. Wesley Ellingson came into the game in relief and played his final game as a Terrier letting in 6 goals on 21 shots. Terrier defenseman Cody Thompson knows they need to be better this time around.

"They are playing good. We need to be better in our 'D zone' and get pucks out. [We need to] shoot everything on net. They have a good goalie and we need to try and find holes in him."

Winkler is lead by forward Scott Gall who had 2 goals and 2 assists in the game against Portage. Jeremey Leipsic has been the offensive leader for Portage as he is tops in the league with 28 points in 13 games.
