The Portage Terriers are in the Dog Pound tonight for game three of the Addison Division semi-finals.

The Portage Terriers are back on home ice tonight for game three of the Addison Division semi-finals against the Selkirk Steelers.

After taking game one 4-1 on Friday night and coming back from a 3-1 deficit to win game two 5-3, the Terriers are riding a wave of momentum into tonight's tilt. Tyler Larson leads the team with three points through the first two games and the Minnesota native says the team needs to bring the same intensity they had late in game two to the rink tonight.

"We just need to play like we did in the third period there," says Larson. "Just keep working hard, banging bodies and crash the net there."

Brendan Harms is one of 13 players back from last season's Anavet Cup championship team. He says if the Terriers want to repeat last year's playoff success, they'll need to bring some hard work to game three against the Steelers.

"We need to out-work 'em," says Harms. "These guys will work hard but if we keep working and doing the things we need to do, I think we'll be OK."

The team had more than one reason to celebrate after game two. Not only did they take a 2-0 lead in the series, they also saw the return of captain Andrew Wiebe to the line-up. The Thunder Bay native had been out since January 15th with an upper-body injury but made his return on Sunday, playing alongside Adam Restoule and Brett Fargher while also seeing time on the penalty kill. The injury to Shea Cooper continues to be the big story in this opening round series. The league leader in wins suffered a lower-body injury in practice prior to game one and is out of the line-up for the foreseeable future. Backup Adam Iwan has stepped in and played solidly, providing a steady backbone to the defense.

The Terriers and Steelers hit the ice at 7:30 pm tonight at the PCU Centre.
