The Portage Terriers look to keep their perfect record alive at the Western Canada Cup today as they play an afternoon game against the BCHL's West Kelowna Warriors. The Terrier wins have been close games so far: 2-1 over Melfort, and 3-2 against Estevan.

The Warriors have a split record at the tournament with a 3-0 win over the Estevan Bruins and a 4-2 loss to the Brooks Bandits. The Warriors have been lead by Brett Mennear who has 3 goals in the tournament, and Nicholas Rutigliano who has three assists. The Terriers have received balanced scoring with Brad Bowles, Brett Orr, Dean Stewart, and Nick Henry all picking up 2 points each.

Terrier defenseman Brock Weston is confident they can win their next game. "They are fast, pretty good with the puck, but I think we can handle them for sure. We will take the pace to them and control the game."

Adam Wowryk had a beautiful goal in game 2 against Estevan, and says they hope to be better for game 3.

"I don't think we have brought our 'A' game yet. We are getting through these games just barely, just one goal games. We haven't played a full 60 (minutes) yet. I believe if we play the full 60, finish every hit especially on West Kelowna we should be successful."

Puck drop is at 3pm MB time. You can listen to the game on CFRY and portageonline.com starting with the pregame show at 2:50pm.
